Data policy

Clear access, attribution, and provenance

PerseaDB is designed for transparent scientific use. This page explains how to access the public resources, acknowledge their origins, and interpret updates without inventing a citation or license.

No placeholder citation

PerseaDB does not yet list a formal database publication or DOI on this page. A verified citation will be added when it is available.

Public access

Public pages, record searches, genome browsing, and listed downloads can be used without creating an account. Administrative functions remain restricted.

Attribution

When using a dataset, cite its original publication or provider where that information accompanies the files. You may also acknowledge PerseaDB as the access and integration resource.

Data provenance

Hass, West Indian T2T, and Anise are maintained as distinct organism and assembly collections. Identifiers, source files, and cultivar context should be preserved when results are reported or redistributed.

Reuse and source terms

Reuse remains subject to the terms attached to each original dataset. This site does not replace those terms or grant rights that the original provider did not supply.

Corrections and versions

Records and files may be corrected as validation improves or new releases become available. Record the cultivar, filename or record identifier, and access date needed to reproduce an analysis.

Service and privacy

The site may record aggregate visit counts and routine server logs for operation and security. PerseaDB is provided as a research resource and should be independently validated for critical downstream use.

Suggested acknowledgement
Genomic data and integrated record access were provided through PerseaDB (accessed [date]). Please also cite the original source for each dataset used.

Replace [date] with your access date and add the source citation associated with the selected cultivar dataset.
